Air Jordan 2011 “Orion Blue”

These days, we usually only see soft colors on womens Air Jordan releases, but Jordan Brand has made an exception this time, and created this beautiful Orion Blue/White Air Jordan 2011 colorway. The entire “fingerprint” area has been done in orion blue, surrounded by white. The tongue and outsole has been done in a more vibrant blue, which looks almost cerulean. No word yet on the official release date for these, but I’d expect to see them by the end of summer.

Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 “Fresh Water”

2011 marks the return of one of Nike’s best big man shoes of the mid 90’s, the Nike Air Max Uptempo 97. This time, they’re giving us a brand new color scheme to drool over. The Fresh Water theme, made popular on the Griffeys, has been applied to the Uptempo 97s, and it looks great. This sneaker has the typical white and black upper that we’ve seen on previous releases, but color has been added via fresh water accents, and a matching fresh water max air unit, can be clearly seen through the transparent midsole.

One look at these pair of LeBron VIII V2s, and you’ll instantly know where the name “Sprite” came from. The bright blue upper, combined with the white swoosh and midsole and the lime green accents all come together to create a colorway that resembles can of Sprite. No word yet on the release date for these, but stayed tuned.

Rare Air: Air Jordan IX Oregon Ducks Player Exclusives

Here’s a pair of IXs I bet a lot of you guys have never seen before. These were created exclusively for University of Oregon players to wear in the 2011 BCS Championship game. Featuring a completely blacked out upper, these sneakers have been mostly done in nubuck suede, with the exception of the mesh tongue. The midsole has been painted glossy black, and the silver eyelets have been used to match the graphics. These are incredibly rare, but surprisingly, there are three pairs floating on ebay. Here’s a link to the listings.

Air Jordan XII Fadaway Customs

It’s not everyday you see Air Jordan XII customs, so I just had to share these. Customizer J. Goods created this beautiful custom starting with a pair of Rising Sun Air Jordan XIIs. The leather upper starts off all-white at the heel, but as you move to the front, it fades to black. About 15 different shades of gray were used to create this beautiful gradient pattern.

Air Jordan V White/Varsity Red-Midnight Navy

In the past, Jordan Brand has primarily chosen to go with the Air Jordan VI to represent the Olympics, but for 2012 and maybe even this summer, there’s a good chance that Team USA players like Melo and CP3 will be wearing wearing the Air Jordan V. Here’s a look at the White/Varsity Red-Midnight Navy Air Jordan 5. While this might be just another planned release, it sure looks like an Olympic color scheme to me. There’s no official release date for these yet, but you can already cop a few sizes at Kicks-Lab.

Nike Blazer SB Brown Distressed Leather/Gold

There’s something about distressed leather that just creates a vintage look, even on brand new items. Usually, you see this on leather jackets, but the same can be said about this upcoming Nike SB Blazer colorway. Its upper has been completely draped in the classic pre-worn fabric, overlaid with a gold swoosh, and completed with the usual white sole, and matching white laces. They would go great with a bomber jacket. This pair should be available in skate shops this June.

Nike Air Max LeBron VIII (8) V2 “Portland”

Tonight, the Miami Heat will play the Portland Trailblazers for the last time in the 2010-11 NBA regular season (and probably for the entire season), just in time for the debut of this new LeBron VIII colorway. What better way for the LeBron to finish off an opposing team than by wearing a pair of shoes dedicated to them? They have a black upper, with red laces, and red and white swoosh. The Flywire strands have been done in red and white to match the rest of the sneaker, and the Max Air unit has received red speckles. Expect to see LeBron sporting these tonight as the Heat take on the Trailblazers, but it’s still up in the air as to whether or not these will receive a public release.

Jordan Tokyo23 Pack – New Pics

So far, we’ve seen a couple cloudy pics, and then a less cloudy pic, but finally here’s a clear look at the upcoming Jordan Tokyo23 pack. For those just discovering these, the Tokyo23 Pack is an upcoming release (hopefully), created to promote Jordan Brand’s planned Tokyo23 store (in Tokyo, of course). Still no release date or info on availability, but for now, enjoy the pics!

Nike Air Footscape Motion “Black Cat” Pack

It’s been a while since I made a Nike Footscape post, but since there’s a new pack coming out, I thought I’d share. Called the “Black Cat” pack, it conists of two different colorways. The first pair is Hazelnut/Grit-black, and looks very similar to Nike Dunk Low Pro SB “Shanghai II”,  Next up is the Granite/Medium Grey-Hazelnut colorway, which uses the more commonly seen woven pattern. Both colorways have a speckled grey sole. Stay tuned for more info on these.

Walter’s x Air Jordan V “60th Anniversary”

Jordan Brand is teaming up with Walter’s, a long-running boutique based in Atlanta, Georgia, to create this all-new Air Jordan V colorway. Created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Walter’s, the sneaker has a black upper, decorated with yellow accents. Instead of the usual “23”, “60th” has been placed on the side. This is only a concept drawing, but if these make it to production, it’s rumored that there will only be 60 pairs. I’d say it would definitely be worth the trip to the ATL. They are expected to release in Fall 2012.
