The Nike Zoom Kobe VI goes cool grey with this all-new release. This pair has a mostly cool grey upper, contrasted with a white swoosh and matching white accents. The word “Venomenon” has been stamped on the front of the shoe. No official release date yet, but I’ll post an update on these as soon as I found out more. From Kicks Lab.

Ok, by now, we’ve probably all seen pics of sneakers worn by the the Man himself, however, I guarantee you haven’t seen this pair. If you remember or know the history, Michael Jordan suffered a broken foot during the 1985-86 NBA season, causing him to miss all but 18 games. Somehow, with Jordan’s will and determination, the Bulls were still able to make it to the first round of the playoffs, where Jordan scored 63 points in game 2.
Having only played 14 regular season games since returning, Jordan’s foot was still healing, and both Nike and the Bulls were cautious about letting their star return. To provide extra protection, special modifications were made to his Air Jordan 1s. That’s where this pair comes in. For game 3, MJ’s sneakers were fitted with special ankle straps, which ran through slots cut into the upper. Also, custom orthopedic inserts were added as well. As you can see in the pics below, one shoe is size 13, and the other is size 13.5. After MJ’s foot healed, it was slightly larger, hence the bigger left shoe.
This is an incredible piece of history, and may be the only pair left in existence. Luckily they were recently listed on eBay, and are still available, that is, if you have $25K. Here’s a link to the auction.

Check out this fresh new Nike Air Force 1 Low ’07 colorway, just recently released. It has a dark obsidian upper, completed with a white and gum sole. Yeah, not too fancy, but they’ll look perfect with just about any outfit, or your basic white t-shirt and jeans. They are available now at JD Sports.

Here’s something I’m sure all you old-school gamers can appreciate. Teaming up with Nintendo, converse has created this awesome set of Super Mario Bros. themed Chuck Taylor Hi’s. Each pair has been decorated with the original NES Mario sprite, in all of his memorable poses, and the tongue features the Super Mario logo. To top things off, the logo star has been replaced with the invincibility star from the games. They will be available at Converse Japan in July. Hopefully, we’ll get a U.S. release.
Today, we get an official look a Jordan Brand’s latest basketball sneaker, the Jordan Phase 23. While not visible, it has a full-length air sole and a Phylon midsole as well. For guarding those quick point guards, the Phase 23 reduces the chances of getting broken ankles with TPU ankle-support and a forefoot strap. These are the first three colors, but expect more on the way.
For those unaware, three new Air Jordan 2011 colorways were planned for release tomorrow, which included Red/Wolf Grey-Medium Grey, Tech Grey/Black-Orion Blue-Chlorine, and Black/Neo Lime. Unfortunately, Jordan Brand has postponed their release. They are now planned to release on 5/21/2011. Not too cool if you were planning to cop tomorrow, but on the bright side, that gives some of you hardcore sneakerheads three more weeks to save up for all three pairs.
Nike kicks this summer off with a blast, starting with these two new Dunk Low CL colorways. The first colorway has a Black upper, with a mandarin orange sole. The second model sports a completely different color scheme, with a white and grey upper (mostly white), finished off with a brown kelp sole. Both colorways have a spotted sockliner, and use a a combination of full grain leather and a nylon fabric very similar to that seen on previous models like the Kermit Dunks. Yesterday we saw the return of the denim Nike Air Force 1, now it looks like Jordan Brand has been bitten by the denim bug as well. Check out this new Air Jordan 1 GS colorway. It features a fully denim upper, using two different shades. A red Air Jordan logo and white and red sole add the finishing touches. Unfortunately, these will only be available for the kiddies. They are available now at Finish Line.

Nike’s classic Air Pegasus ’89 returns again in this brand new color scheme. It has a bright green upper, contrasted with a yellow swoosh and matching eyelets. The sneaker has been provided with white laces, and a white and grey midsole. This colorway has been released exclusively to JD Sports.
It seems like we hardly ever see any denim Air Force 1s these days. For the last couple of years, the fabric has been more popular on Dunks and Blazers, but for 2011, it looks like we’ll finally see it on the AF1 again, starting with this release. Created as Premium release, this colorway uses a dark brown colored denim fabric, held together with bronze stitching, and a matching bronze swoosh. They will be available on May 20.

Back in March, we got a look at the Dark Grey/White-Total Orange Nike Air Max Jr. Those aren’t planned for release until September, but here’s a colorway that you can expect to see much earlier. This pair has a white upper, consisting of leather and mesh, decorated with chlorine blue accents, and a matching blue tongue. An icy clear chlorine blue outsole as been used as well. These are available now in select stores.
Finally, here’s a better look at the upcoming 2011 version of the Black/Metallic Silver Air Jordan V Retro. Judging from the pics, they look true to the 2006 version. While an exact date has not been announced yet, it is known that they are planned for release sometime in August.

For those days when you don’t feel like rocking your basketball sneakers and would like to wear something a little more mature, Jordan Brand has created the Jordan V.5. Low. Just like the name hints, these low-cut casual shoes have a fully canvas upper, and a basic rubber sole. So far, they are available in Khaki/White and Black/Wolf Grey, but let’s hope more colorways follow. They are available now at Nike.com, as well as a leather version. Here’s a link.
