With Kobe’s extreme popularity in the Philippines, it only seems fitting for Nike to produce a special pair to pay tribute to the Asian country. In fact, they’ve done even better than that, producing two pairs. Here’s a look at the Nike Kobe VIII “Philippines Pack”, created for the UAAP Basketball Tournament held in the Philippines. The first colorway features a black and grey mesh upper, mated to striped red and black midsole. A matching red outsole and dotted laces help the sneaker to stand out even more. For those looking for a more subtle design, the second pair features similar pattern, but done completely in black and grey. While created for the Philippines, this pair has been made available in the U.S. as well, and is beginning to arrive at stores, retailing for $150 each. If you can’t find them in your area, they are also available on eBay.
