Nike Kobe X “Blackout” New Images, Release Reminder

With less than a day before its release, here’s one more look at the Nike Kobe X “Blackout”. Inspired by Kobe’s work ethic and and willingness to work out until the point of passing out (yes, really), this new colorway sports a dark purple upper with a black suede tongue, laces, and matching graphics. The midsole has bene molded in a lighter, translucent purple for an amazing effect. You’ll be able to get these in stores starting tomorrow, February 21, with pricing set at $180. Online sites like Nike.com and Eastbay will release the sneaker beginning at 10:00 am EST. In addition, you can also grab a pair on eBay. Here’s a direct link to the listings.

Love him or hate him, Kobe Bryant is hands down the hardest worker in the NBA, with a training regimen that would put most athletes to shame. When asked about it, he said, ““When I’m really feeling it…. I work out until I black out”.  Taking inspiration from the Black Mamba’s hard work and dedication, Nike has created a special “Blackout” version of the Nike Kobe X. It sports a black and purple seamless textile upper, overlaid with a black swoosh. A black tongue, a matching accents have been applied as well, all mated to a translucent purple sole. The Nike Kobe 10 ‘Blackout” releases on February 21, most likely priced at $200.
