Nike Kobe VIII “Hornets”

Nike has made it a bit of a tradition to release a “Hornets” version of each Kobe model, which is basically a reminder of what could have been had the Charlotte Hornets decided not to trade Kobe Bryant to the Los Angeles Lakers. For this year’s edition, the Nike Kobe 8 has received a bright blue upper, wrapped with a camo print. White has been used on the swoosh and outsole while aqua accents help to complete the theme. An official release date has not been announced for this pair yet, but if you’d like to get them early, they are available now at Marqueesole.

Nike LeBron 9 Summit Lake – Getting Closer

We’ve almost survived the wait for the upcoming “Summit Lake” Nike LeBron 9. Created to recognize LBJ’s first team, this colorway has been wrapped in purple and turquoise, and finished off with white speckles on the midsole. A Hornet graphic has been placed on the heel. The Summit Lake Hornets Nike LeBron 9 will drop this Saturday, March 31. Get to the stores early for these, as they will go fast in most areas. From MS.

Nike LeBron 9 “Summit Lake Hornets” – Release Info

After a long wait and lots of pics, we finally have a release date for the upcoming “Summit Lake Hornets” Nike LeBron 9. They are scheduled to hit stores on March 31, 2012, and will retail for the usual price of $170. Definitely not a release to sleep on. From MN.

Rare Air: Air Jordan XIII Retro Chris Paul PE

Ray Allen isn’t the only one with hot Air Jordan XIII player exclusives, now you can add Chris Paul to the list. Created to match the New Orleans Hornets’ home uniforms, this pair has received an upper made of white leather and cerulean suede, complemented with purple accents. Chris Paul’s “CP3” symbol has been embroidered on the tongue. It’s a shame that unlike the Ray Allen XIIIs, we probably won’t have a chance to purchase these. Pics from Air_Andy.

Jordan CP 2’Quick – Hornets Away Colorway

Here’s a look at Chris Paul’s newest sneaker, the Jordan CP 2’Quick. Created to match the away uniforms of the New Orleans Hornets, this pair has been wrapped in black patent leather, while the heel support and sole areas have been done in a beautiful cerulean blue. Yellow eyelets and a matching Jumpman complete the color scheme. There’s no word on the official release date, but I’ll post it up as soon as it becomes available.

Nike Zoom Kobe V Charlotte Hornets

As many of you may already know, Kobe Bryant was originally selected by the Charlotte Hornets in the 1996 NBA Draft, however he was traded right after. Have you ever wondered what Kobe’s shoes would have looked like had he stayed with the Hornets? Although I can’t speak for previous models, this new Kobe V colorway should give you an idea.

     This pair has a mostly white upper, complemented with a blue swoosh, outlined in purple. Blue has also been used for the outsole, and heel, along with a purple sockliner. Not word on the official release date for these, but I’ll keep you guys updated on this pair.
