Air Jordan 16 CEO

The Air Jordan 16 finally returns to pay tribute to one of Michael Jordan’s most recent accomplishments. Called the Air Jordan 16, this new pair represents MJ’s rise to power as majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets.

Constructed primarily of suede, the Air Jordan 16 CEO features a mostly black upper, beautifully complemented with iridescent patent leather on the tongue and toe areas. The black suede shroud has been lined with turquoise blue, which is also featured on the sneaker’s midsole. An icy clear outsole gives it a clean finish.

The Air Jordan 16 CEO will release on October 20, 2017. Unfortunately, obtaining a pair won’t be the easiest task. This sneaker’s production run will be limited to only 2,300 pairs, with each pair numbered in the inside of the tongue. With such a limited run, expect the sneaker to release only at select stores and online. Pricing is set at $250. Stay tuned for more info on the release.

Air Jordan X Retro Hornets Release Date

Paying tribute to Michael Jordan’s team, the Charlotte Hornets, Jordan Brand has a created an all-new colorway of the Air Jordan 10. It incorporates design cues from the team’s away uniform, utilizing bright turquoise eyelets over a purple tongue. Matching laces and ling help transition down to the sneaker’s white upper and midsole. A purple and blue outsole matches the top, while the same color scheme is used for the “23” side graphic.

While photos of this colorway have been limited so far, a release date has already been announced. The Air Jordan X Retro Hornets is slated for June 18, 2016 release. With such a far away date, don’t be surprised if it gets revised. In addition, this photo is from MJ’s personal collection, so it’s possible that the released version may vary in color. Stay tuned for more on this sneaker.

Taking inspiration from the Chinese philosophy that connects the mind, body, and soul, this colorway also happens to have the same color scheme as MJ’s steadily-improving NBA team, the Charlotte Hornets. Sporting full leather construction, it combines Bright Concord with white panels, complemented with Blue lagoon accents. Matching concord laces keeps the sneaker secured to your feet. Air Jordan XIII Retro Low “Hornets” Official Images, Release Date Change

Originally planned to drop this weekend, Jordan Brand has postponed its release of the kids-exclusive “Hornets” Air Jordan 13 Retro. While this delay may seem disappointing for some, it also gives many sneakerheads more time stock up some cash. They are now scheduled to hit stores next Saturday, April 24, with the retail price set at $160. For those anxious to own a pair, they are available early on eBay.

Air Jordan 13 Retro Low “Hornets” – Almost Here

We’re now just few days away from the release of the “Hornets” Air Jordan XIII Retro Low, one of the best colorways of the sneaker’s low top version that we’ve seen in quite some time. Created to recognize the Charlotte Hornets, its clean white quilted leather upper has been surrounded with Midnight Navy suede, contrasted with turquoise graphics and a matching outsole. The usual metallic silver Jumpman logo remains intact on the heel. Unfortunately, this sneaker is only available in kids sizes. If you’re one the lucky ones that can fit into a pair, you’ll be able to grab these in stores starting Saturday, April 18, retailing for $160. From SP.

The Air Jordan 13 Retro Low will mark the return the Air Jordan 13 in low top form, which will be welcomed by many sneakerheads with open arms. Taking inspiration from Charlotte’s recently-regained mascot, it combines with leather with Midnight Navy suede, complemented with turquoise accents and a metallic silver Jumpman emblem on the heel. Originally thought to drop in March, the “Hornets” Air Jordan XIII Retro Low is set for release on April 18, priced at $160. Rare Air – Air Jordan 13 Retro “Hornets” Sample

If the Air Jordan 13 Low Hornets colorway had you stoked, wait’ll you see the mid-cut version. Also taking inspiration from MJ’s team, this colorway makes good use of the original version, sporting purple suede overlaid with white leather and matching laces. A soft purple fabric has been applied to the sockliner, with bright turquoise used on the tongue logos and outsole. Unfortunately, this is pair is a sample that was supposedly scrapped. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a change of heart from the Jordan Brand design team.

Air Jordan XI (11) Retro GS “Hornets”

Jordan Brand is finally beginning to get more creative with the coveted Air Jordan 11, and this upcoming Hornets-themed design is a perfect example. This pair has been wrapped in a deep purple that extends from the mesh and patent leather upper right down to the outsole. To complete the theme, bright green has been applied to the laces, sock liner and graphics. Unfortunately it looks like this pair will be a grade school exclusive. Nike Air DT Max ’96 GS “Hornets”

Nike’s revival of its classic Primetime signature sneaker, the Nike Air DT Max ’96 continues, this time taking paying homage to the Charlotte Hornets. This pair has received a beautiful bright purple and white upper, accentuated with Turbo Green. A matching purple and white sole provides the cushioning, and the visible Max Air unit reveals even more of that lovely Turbo Green. Unfortunately, Nike has decided to only release this colorway in kids sizes. If you can fit them or if you’d like to get a pair for your little one, they are available now on eBay.

Nike Kobe IX (9) Elite “Draft Day” First Look

Here’s an early look at the Nike Kobe 9 Elite “Draft Day”, created to pay tribute to Kobe’s entry into the NBA. Many of you are probably wondering, why blue and purple instead of purple and gold? The answer is simple, Kobe Bryant was originally selected by the Charlotte Hornets during the 1996-97 NBA draft, and believe it or not, as the 13th pick. Unfortunately for the Hornets, they made the unwise decision of trading Kobe to the Los Angeles Lakers for aging center Vlade Divac. The rest as they say, is history.

The Kobe 9 “Draft Day features the usual Flyknit upper, complemented with turquoise accents and matching laces, as well as purple graphics. There’s no official release date as of yet, but stay tuned for an update shortly.

Nike Zoom Kobe V Charlotte Hornets

As many of you may already know, Kobe Bryant was originally selected by the Charlotte Hornets in the 1996 NBA Draft, however he was traded right after. Have you ever wondered what Kobe’s shoes would have looked like had he stayed with the Hornets? Although I can’t speak for previous models, this new Kobe V colorway should give you an idea.

     This pair has a mostly white upper, complemented with a blue swoosh, outlined in purple. Blue has also been used for the outsole, and heel, along with a purple sockliner. Not word on the official release date for these, but I’ll keep you guys updated on this pair.
