In addition to sneakers, Michael Jordan has had a number of endorsements, including, batteries, fast food, Looney Tunes, and even hair care products (yes, he had hair back in the day). One stand remains most memorable, however, is Gatorade. The upcoming Air Jordan 6 “Gatorade” colorway takes inspiration from the days when everyone wanted to “Be Like Mike”.
Using design cues from those green Gatorade cups we all remember His Airness drinking from, this new design features a full nubuck suede upper, primarily consisting of a medium green. Matching green laces have been applied, while bright orange graphics have been placed on the heel tab and midsole to complete the theme. The outsole is molded in a translucent white. As another nice detail, the lack locks have been molded in green, with an orange Jumpman logo placed on front.
If you’re anxious to get your hands on a pair of the Air Jordan VI Gatorade, you’ll have to wait until things cool off a little. The sneaker has a scheduled release date of October 21, 2017.
