In addition to the Taxi-based design, Jordan Brand has also created a completely new Air Jordan XII colorway to ring in the Chinese Year. This one however, has been made exclusively for the girls.
This version of the Air Jordan CNY utilizes an off-white leather upper, with a brick-like pattern applied to the lower portion instead of the traditional pebbled leather. Light Orewood Brown has been applied to top two sets of eyelets and the Jumpman logo. Varsity Red has been applied to the graphics and lining to give the sneaker some color. This includes the tongue logo, which features the Chinese symbol “貳拾”, meaning “12”. The heel tab is monotone, matching the majority of the sneaker. A clean white sole with red graphics and translucent pods is used to provide the finishing touches, and provdes a slight contrast to the off-white upper.
Releasing on January 28 to coincide with the Chinese New Year, the Air Jordan 12 CNY will be priced at $160. This sneaker is expected to sell out quickly, but you can skip the lines and avoid the stress by copping a pair early on eBay.
