Rare Air – Air Jordan IX (9) Kobe Bryant Player Exclusives
Prior to committing Kobe to an endorsement deal, Nike gave the Black Mamba somewhat of a trial run with its sneakers, which also included the Jordan Brand lineup. One those sneakers happened to be this Air Jordan IX player exclusive colorway. Wrapped in a beautiful purple patent leather contrasted with white leather and a matching outsole, gold graphics help to complete the Lakers theme. Kobe’s number “8” has been embroidered at the heel. Most likely only a handful of these were actually created. This sample was originally posted on eBay by seller phyuck_yo_kixx, selling for a whopping $55,100!
