The Air Jordan 12 “Taxi” is already back? Yes, but not quite. Jordan Brand has chosen the OG colorway to help ring in the Chinese New Year. A few modification have been made, and it’s definitely a nice look.

As you can see, the white ribbed leather on the Air Jordan 12 Chinese New Year appears unchanged on the sneaker, but has actually been covered with 3M reflective material for some serious attention-getting at night. The usually pebbled black leather at he bottom has been replaced with a woven-like pattern, overlayed with a metallic gold Jumpman logo. The Jumpman tongue logo has been replaced with the Chinese symbol “貳拾”, which translates to “12”.  The top two sets of eyelets have received a metallic gold finish, while the black sole has been modified with clear pods. As a final detail, the heel tab has been completely blacked out.

A scheduled date of Saturday, January 28 has been set for the Air Jordan 12 Chinese New Year, which is perfect timing considering that this is the actual date that the Chinese New Year is celebrated.
