What’s this, more Nike Air Zoom Glove releases? Nope. While its appearance does bear quite a resemblance to the classic Gary Payton sneaker, this is an all new Kobe model, called the Nike Zoom Kobe Icon.
Very little is known about the sneaker at the moment but this pair does appear to be more bare bones version of the Gloves (remember the Son of Glove?), with the extra ankle support being the most notable absent component. Kobe “sheath” logos have been placed at the tongue, heel, and on the outsole. In addition, the Zoom Air sole design has almost been completely reworked.
While not confirmed, it’s rumored that the metallic gold colorway will hit stores on January 15, 2016. Stay tuned for release information on the Black/White colorway, as well as pricing information for both pairs.
