Now here’s a color scheme you don’t see everyday. This upcoming Air Max 360 BB release has a peach upper, contrasted by a coral red swoosh, and a matching white and coral red sole. Definitely not for everyone, but I’m sure some of you will like it. They are planned for release in May.

Rare Air: Ray Allen Air Jordan II Player Exclusives

Ray Allen is notorious for wearing the hottest player exclusives. Just in the last couple of years, we’ve seen Sugar Ray in an exclusive Air Jordan 2010 colorway, the Jumpman Pro,  and who could forget the White and Gold Air Jordan XIs? The list goes on. Here’s a look at a pair of Air Jordan IIs made exclusively for the NBA’s best three-point shooter. Created to be worn during the Celtics’ home games, the IIs, have a mostly white upper with green accents. Ray Allen’s nickname has been embroidered on the side. A couple of years ago, we got the Nike Penny 1/2 Cent in a black and green color scheme. Those must have done pretty well, because now we’re getting the Nike Air Penny 1s in a Black/Electric Green colorway as part of the Highlighter Pack. Air Jordan V Retro Wolf Grey

I know I’m late and a lot of you have probably already seen these by now, but I just realized that I never posted these. This Spring, Jordan Brand finally plans to give the Air Jordan Vs the Cool Grey treatment. Actually, the official color is Wolf Grey, but I’d say it’s close enough. They have a mostly The Light Graphite/White-Wolf Grey Air Jordan Vs are expected to release on May 14. (5/14/2011). Nike Dunk High Obsidian/Gingham

It’s been a while since we’ve seen gingham fabric on pair of Dunks, but it has finally returned. This time, Nike has pair the popular picnic blanket fabric with an obsidian blue upper, made of leather and nylon. Unlike the 2009 releases, the gingham fabric has been used a lot more sparingly this time, only receiving placement on the heel area. A pair of cerulean blue laces and a blue sole add the finishing touches.

This time, they’ve created a sneaker completed from scratch, which is a relief, considering all of the odd hybrid models we’ve been getting lately. Air Jordan III Retro “Pearlized” Sample

This is definitely the year of the Air Jordan III. First we got the White/Cement IIIs, then the Black History Months,  the Stealths for kids, and of course the True Blues later this year. Now, here’s a look at another possible colorway. Pics of this new Pearlized sample just surfaced and they are already getting a lot of attention. The entire upper has received a pearlized finish, off-white accents, and matching elephant print. Hopefully I’ll be able to add these to the Air Jordan Release Dates list.

Combining the Air Jordan V with the Air Jordan I, Jordan Brand has created an all-new sneaker, called the Air Jordan 5 Prime. The usual swoosh has been replaced with netting from the Vs. Also notice the eyelets, and of course, the silver 3M reflective tongue. This colorway takes inspiration from the White/Fire Red-Black Air Jordan Vs. No official release date, but stay tuned!

What happens when you cross an old school basketball sneaker with an even older dress shoe design? Answer: The Nike Air Royal “Wingtip” Pack. Inspired by the classic wingtip dress shoe, these sneakers have received perforations along the toes box and sides, including the swoosh. They come in the two colors shows, white and navy, and black and red. As cool as you may think they are, don’t wear them to your next job interview.

Nike Air Max Penny 1 – “Ripstop”

I guess all-black shoes must be really popular this year, First the Air Jordan Six Rings, then Air Jordan 2011 “Blackout”, and now Nike gets into the game with the Nike Air Max Penny 1 Ripstop. This time, not even the sole was spared, every part of this sneaker is completely black, from top to bottom.
