We’ve seen a ton of all-black Jordan 6 Rings colorways over the last couple of years, so it should come as no surprise to see a blacked-out version of the its boot counterpart. That’s exactly the route Jordan Brand chose to go with the new Black/Black 6 Rings Winterized boot, which have been completely done in black leather and mesh, as well as a black sole. With winter coming up in just a few months, they’ll make a great substitution for the Carbon Fiber 6 Rings during those nasty snow days. You can get them now at Premier or on eBay.
No, I’m not announcing another Air Jordan XI Low IE release. This time, it’s the patent leather version that we always have to get up early for. During the Bulls’ amazing 1995-96 season, MJ wore a low top version of the Black/Varsity Red-White Air Jordan XIs for a couple of games, and despite numerous magazine publications, they were never released to the public. Sure, we got a few other colorways in 2000, but never the Black/Reds. Until now. Next year, Jordan Brand plans to finally bring the Black/Red-White Air Jordan XI Lows to the public. While there’s not much info yet, it like we can expect these to arrive in summer 2012. Stay tuned for more on these.

Teaming up with artist/designer Toddd Bratrud, Nike SB has create the Dunk High Pro SB “Cigar City”. This pair gives tribute to Ybor City in Tampa, FL, which was a prime source of cigar production in the late 19th century. Using leather and suede, this pair has been wrapped in a number of Earth colors, typically seen on cigars. The midsole has been done in black and grey. Also, the sneaker have been beautifully packaged in a cigar-style box. They will release tomorrow at Skate Park of Tampa, September 17. They will be limited to only 100 pairs, so get your sleeping bags ready if you want to get your hands on these. From Caliroots and SPoT.
The Jordan CMFT Via Air 11 goes stealth with this new pack from Jordan Brand. Using a stealth grey texture upper with a black midsole, three color variations have been made, including Sonic Yellow, Varsity Blue, and Infrared. You can cop these at your local store now, as well as online at eBay.
Jordan Brand gives us a brand new Air Jordan 1 Phat Low release, using an interesting color scheme. The upper has received a velvet base, contrasted with a khaki and velvet elephant print swoosh. Just like Ray Allen, Quentin Richardson is notorious for wearing hot Air Jordan player exclusives. He just recently posted these Air Jordan XIII Retro player exclusives, created to match the Orlando Magic’s home uniform. It uses white leather, contrasted by bright blue suede. The sole has been done in blue and black to match. It sure would be nice if these would release to the public, at least as a House of Hoops exclusive. Only time will tell!

This year, you can expect to see the Nike-sponsored University of Miami Hurricanes sporting the Nike Lebron IX. Check out these teaser pics of the colorway they’ve been practicing in. It has a dark green and white base, complemented with orange accents, and matching orange laces. No word yet on whether these will be a team exclusive or not, but they’d definitely make a nice release. From LBJ23.

Usually, Melos debut in white and university colorways, but with his almost instant success as a New York Knick, it seems we’ll be seeing blue and orange for a long time. Here’a look at the two premier colorways of Carmelo’s latest sneaker, the Jordan Melo M8. The first colorways has received a blue and white color scheme, done in leather and patent leather. Orange accents add a little more flavor. The second color ways has been designed to match the Knicks’ away uniform, using black leather on blue patent leather, and similar orange accents. Technology wise, the Melo 8 has received a nice upgrade, utilizing both Flywire for stability and a Zoom Air Max sole for cushioning and support. You can get both colorways on 10/8.

Here’s a first look at the upcoming 2012 “Military” Air Jordan IV Retro. Not seen since the 2006 version, this release is somewhat of a Godsend to all of the sneakerheads who missed out last time. This pair is only a sample, but from the looks of things, not much has been changed from the previous version. They are currently planned to release in June 2012. On a side note, take a look in the background, and you’ll get a small glimpse of the Cool Grey/Team Orange Air Jordan XIIs, also planned to release in the future. Stay tuned for more info on these. After four years, Nike SB finally brings back the Griptape Dunk, this time in mid-cut form. The majority of the upper uses black suede, with grip tape applied to the toe box, swoosh, and eyelets. You can get these now at your local skate shop. If you can’t find them, they are available now at Premier, as well as eBay.
I’m really looking forward to the Nike’s Vac Tech Dunks, especially this “Haystack” colorway. Created as part of the “Wheat Pack”, this pair has a tan suede upper, matched with tan and black laces. A white midsole provides a nice contrast. The Wheat Pack will also include Vac Tech versions of the Air Max 90 and Air Force 1. They are scheduled to release in October.
Finally, here’s a detailed look at the blue/black Knicks Jordan Spizike, originally posted back in April. At the time, we weren’t sure if these were made exclusively for Spike Lee or not, but now it appears that at least the blue pair will receive a public release. They have a bright blue suede upper, complemented with black and orange accents. There’s still no official release date for these yet, but you can cop them now at Kicks Lab.

With the NBA lockout still in effect, we may not get to see our favorite players on the court anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t get their shoes. Check out this pair of Nike Air Max Lebron IXs that made the cover of Sneaker Freaker Issue 22. A very unique color scheme, this pair has a green and black upper, contrasted with orange laces and an orange outsole, as well as volt accents. While it’s still uncertain as to whether or not this pair will see a public release, it’s a good sign that we can expect plenty of LeBron IX colorways, NBA season or not.
