Nike Zoom Rookie LWP – Varsity Red – New Images

Later this year, you’ll be able to paint the town red with the Varsity Red Nike Zoom Rookie LWP. Similar to the Memphis Blues release, this pair has a single colored upper, but this time in Varsity Red instead of blue. A hint of black can been found on the graphics and heel tab, and an icy sole completes the look. There’s still no release date for these yet, but expect them to drop before the year ends. Rare Air: Air Jordan VII Retro “Gold Medal” Chris Paul PE

LeBron isn’t the only guy getting special gold medal shoes. After Team USA took the gold earlier today, Jordan Brand awarded Chris Paul with this special pair of gold medal Olympic Air Jordan 7s. Based on the Olympic colorway that we all know and love, this pair has received metallic gold on the upper. Here they hold CP3’s gold medal. Not likely, but let’s hope these receive a public release.

Nike LeBron X “Gold Medal”

Earlier, we got a look at the Nike LeBron Xs worn by LeBron James in the 2012 Olympics gold medal basketball game. Now that Team USA has secured the gold by beating Spain 107-100, Nike has deemed it safe to release photos of the Gold Medal Nike LeBron 10 (they actually released photos before the game ended). Created in similar fashion to the pair worn by LBJ during the gold medal game, this pair has received a metallic gold swoosh, representing Team USA’S victory. Here’s a press release and photos from Nike:

LeBron James is continuing one of the most successful seasons by any individual player in basketball history. This success can be attributed to the relentless dedication he’s taken to perfecting his game over time.

Forged by time, heat and pressure, the diamond is a precious and unbreakable gemstone that provides design and metaphoric inspiration for the new LEBRON X. Worn by James in the final matchup on August 12, the LEBRON X is constructed for dynamic containment, impact protection, and responsiveness to assist one of the game’s most explosive players.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of LeBron James’ partnership with Nike Basketball and the release of the LEBRON X comes at another breakthrough moment for Nike Basketball’s performance innovation platform. As the first signature basketball shoe featuring Nike+ Basketball technology in select colorways it can track and measure performance, while an app provides feedback. The shoe also offers a lock-down fit, excellent cushioning on impact, and a lightweight fit and feel.

Combining four of Nike’s most advanced innovations, the shoe features the first full-length visible Nike Zoom unit, dynamic Flywire technology, Hyperfuse construction and Nike+ Basketball brings the shoe to a whole new level.

Stay tuned for more on the LEBRON X.

It features a white upper, navy tongue, and matching navy and red sole. A red swoosh and the American flag have been placed on the sides, a perfect representation of Team USA. No word on a release date, but you can certainly expect these to be made available to the public.

Instead of looking for the perfect t-shirt or hat to go with your Olympic VIs, how about the perfect gas mask? That’s right, Freehand Profit has created yet another masterpiece similar to his Air Jordan IV Laser gas mask. By disassembling a pair of 2012 Olympic Air Jordan VIs, and reconstructing the material, the beautiful mask that you see below was created. Nike Air Current “Infrared”

Nike has decided to bring back yet another one of its timeless classics, the Nike Air Current. This pair sports an infrared upper, held together by a black “exoskeleton” and finishe off with a white sole. Air Jordan 1 Retro Black/Blue 2013 w/Nike Air? YES!!!

After a decade of constant bickering from fans, it looks like Jordan Brand has finally decided to bring Nike Air back to the Air Jordan. Taken away to establish Jordan Brand as a separate entity from Nike (it’s really not), all Nike Air logos were replaced by Jumpman logos in the early 2000s. From these sample pics, it looks like the Black/Blue Air Jordan 1 will be the first Jordan Retro sneaker to bear the Nike Air logo. Is the change due to demand, or just strategic planning? Probably a little bit of both. Stay tuned for more on these. From Pure Music.

Nike LeBron 9 “Championship Pack”

To celebrate LeBron’s first (and probably not his last) NBA championship, Nike has created the Nike LeBron 9 Championship Pack. The pack includes two LeBron sneakers, one for the MVP, and one for the championship. The Nike LeBron 9 MVP has received a white base with a red-to black gradient pattern and yellow graphics. For the championship, a new LeBron 9 PS Elite colorway was created, which features a red and black upper, finished with metallic gold graphics and black and gold laces. Instead of the usual vertically-stacked, dual drawer box, Nike has opted to use a side-by-side package. The LeBron 9 Championship Pack will release tomorrow, August 11 at select locations. Apparently, Nike wants to keep the price a mystery, but expect to pay at least $400 retail if you’d like to obtain a pack.

A matching Atomic Green sole completes the look, and ensures that these will easier turn heads. They will release on August 18, 2012, retailing for $225.
