Here’s a vintage Blazer release that even has a vintage-looking color scheme. It uses both a cocoa and dark brown leather material with a furry brown fabric on the eyelet area. A white swoosh and matching sole provides a nice contrast to the earthy color palette. a red diamond in place of the traditional tongue logo adds the finishing touches. You can get these now at SNS.

Today marks the release of the Medium Grey/Cool Grey-White Air Jordan 9 Retro. They are available at most larger sneaker stores, retailing for $160. New Balance joins in on celebrating the upcoming Chinese new year with its 574 “Year of the Snake” pack. The pack consists of four different colorways, the first of which features a rainbow gradient base overlaid by a navy snakeskin pattern and matching accents. The year of the snake symbol have been embroidered on the tongue and heel, while a graphic of a snake has been placed on the insole. The other three colors also have a snake theme but with a more simplistic look, providing the options of red, black or green. The multi-colored version will be limited to select stores throughout Asia, while the other three will be more widely available.
It looks like 2013 will be another great year for Air Jordan 4 fans, thanks to a number of planned releases. One of the most interesting ones so far is this Glow in the dark pair. They look grey, black and white in the photo, but according to the color scheme, all of the white areas in the photo are actually “Green Glow”. Hopefully in the upcoming months we’ll be able to see these in all of their glowing glory (try saying that three times fast). They are expected to drop sometime in the fall.

There’s no telling when we’ll see the Playoff VIIIs again, but this is pretty close. This Air Jordan 1 Retro colorway has been fully dressed in Playoff VIII attire, receiving a black suede upper, as well as the traditional Air Jordan VIII tongue logo. Air Jordan 8ish print has been used on the sock liner, and MJ’s number has been embroidered on the toe. It’s still unknown as to whether these will actually drop, but keep checking back for news on these.

With the success of both Jordan Brand athlete Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks, it should come as no surprise to see a few Knicks-themed Air Jordans. Spike Lee was spotted wearing this pair of Knicks Air Jordan XX8 last night at the Knicks-Lakers game. As you can see, this pair is basically two color schemes in one. While both pairs have a black shroud and midsole, the left sneaker has a blue bootie, white while right one has been covered in orange. There’s no word on if these will actually release, but it’s definitely a nice concept.
Another classic 90s sneaker makes a return next year. The Nike Air Way Up, made famous by Penny Hardaway, Dennis Rodman, and a number of other stars, will reincarnated in this beautiful new Red/White color scheme. The majority of the sneaker has been covered in red, with the exception of white on the mid foot, heel, and tongue logo. Its red laces have received white stripes to complete the theme. Expect to see these sometime next spring.
As a continuation of its 30th Anniversary Air Force 1 XXX lineup, Nike has created a “ridged leather” version of the Air Force 1 in all three cuts. Each version features a upper fully constructed of ridged leather, with the exception of the swoosh. The color schemes are as follows: Anthracite/Anthracite-Red (high top), Court Purple/White (mid top), and White/White (low top). All three colorways are expected to drop on Saturday, December 15.

Here’s another photoset of the upcoming “Valentine’s Day” Air Jordan 5 Retro GS. To celebrate special day, this pair has been wrapped in a metallic red leather, finished with pink netting and a matching sock liner. Pink graphics and a pink and red midsole help to complete the theme, while the traditional icy sole and 3M reflective tongue remain. A pink “For the Love of the Game” logo has been embroidered near the heel. Expect these to drop sometime in February.

It’s sneaker meets snake with this upcoming Nike Air Force 1 release. A bluish green suede has been joined with a similarly-colored fake snakeskin material, placed on the toe, midfoot, and heel areas. A white swoosh and a matching sole provide a nice contrast, and a pair of aqua-colored laces add a little more flavor. This pair will drop sometime in January 2013.

In addition to the Tour Yellow/Mid Navy-White colorway, Nike has also released this White/Red pair. It has a bright red base with a red and black checker pattern, held together with white stitching. Red and white laces keep the theme going, and white midsole provides a nice contrast. This colorway is a House of Hoops exclusive.
Here’s another look at the upcoming Black/Black-Cool Grey-Tour Yellow Nike Air Penny 5s. This sneaker is primarily covered in black with a white midsole, but has been surrounded with an almost kaleidoscopic Cool grey pattern. A similar white and black pattern can be seen on the lower portion of the midsole, while a yellow swoosh does the rest. They are scheduled to drop on December 26, and will retail for $165.

The 90s are officially back! Nike has just released this special Jason Kidd Tour Yellow/Mid Navy-White PE at House of Hoops. It has a Tour Yellow upper, navy accents and a white midsole. An icy clear outsole finishes the bottom, and the tongue has received Jason Kidd’s number 5. You should be able to get these at most House of Hoops stores, but if you can’t find them, there’s a few pairs on eBay.
In addition to the high cut, low and Phat models, Jordan brand is adding yet another version of the Air Jordan 1 to its lineup: Strap Low. Essentially a Jordan 1 Low, it has received a velcro strap across the top on the tongue. It looks like this Black/Matte Silver-White pair is the first one that we can expect to see. They are expected to drop sometime in the summer of 2013. This sample pair is currently available on eBay through seller shoekray. What’s your opinion on these?
