Reminder: Doernbecher Air Jordan X (10) Releases Tomorrow

Don’t forget, tomorrow marks the release of the highly anticipated Doernbecher Air Jordan 10 Retro. Designed by Doernbecher Children’s Hospital patient Daniel Pena, this pair takes inspiration from Daniel’s favorite player LeBron James and his love for sports. The Doernbecher Air Jordan 10 will release tomorrow, November 23 at Nike Georgetown, Nike San Francisco, NIKETOWN New York, Nike Roosevelt Field, NIKETOWN Los Angeles, Nike Lenox, Nike Las Vegas, Nike Portland, Nike Chicago, and Nike Dallas. They will also be available at Nike.com beginning at 8:00 am EDT. At a retail price of only $170 and very limited availability, this sneaker will be extremely difficult to acquire. Nike Kobe VIII (8) Mine Grey/Court Purple

Nike Flightposite Exposed “Year of the Horse”

2014 marks the Year of the Horse on the Chinese calendar. To celebrate the new year, Nike has created this special colorway of the Nike Air Flgihtposite Exposed. The YOTH Flightposite Exposed features a two-tone blue upper with a print very reminiscent of last year’s “Statue of Liberty” Nike Hyperposite. In addition to the beautiful upper, a set of Volt laces have been applied, as well as a speckled translucent sole. The Chinese Zodiac Year of the Horse symbol has been applied to both the tongue and sole. Release info for this sneaker has not yet been announced, but expect an update in the near future.

Nike Kobe 9 Official Unveiling Date Announced

To coincide with the return of the Nike Zoom Flight 98 ‘The Glove”, Nike has also created special “gloved” version of its classic Air Force 1 sneaker. “The Glove” Air Force 1 Low features an off-white nylon mesh and white upper, joined with green leather on the toe. A green zipper has been attached to the top to release a similar shroud. A volt tongue logo serves as the finishing touch. Nike Kobe 9 (IX) – First Look

Here’s a first look at what looks to be Kobe Bryant’s newest basketball sneaker, the Nike Kobe 9. As you can see, Nike has ditched the old lowtop Kobe design to return to its high top roots. This model sports an Engineered Mesh upper as well as carbon fiber on the midsole. The overall design is somewhat reminiscent of the Air Jordan XX8. This change is most likely to support Kobe’s Achilles injury at the end of last season. With the Mamba’s recent return to practice, we should be seeing the Kobe 9 on the court any day now.

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Brown Denim”

Rare Air: Tinker Hatfield-Designed Air Jordan XI (11) Retro “Bred” Customs

Owning a pair of custom Air Jordans is one thing, but getting a pair customized by the person who originally designed them takes it to a completely different level. That’s the case for Sole Collector founder Steve Mullholand, who received this special pair of Black/Varsity Red-White Air Jordan 11s during the magazine’s 10th anniversary party. While not a true custom, the sneakers have been decorated with doodles from Tinkeras well as a few kinds words, all in gold sharpie. Also notice the wording inside the box that reads, “You better not sell these on eBay”. With a one-of-a-kind pair like this, that shouldn’t be a problem.
