Today we get a first look at Nike’s latest advancement in the world of sneaker technology, the Nike Flyknit. By creating a one piece upper and joining it with Flywire technology, Nike was able to completely eliminate the use of glue and stitching. A lightweight Lunarlon sole provides the cushioning and traction. The end result is a sneaker that weighs only 5.6 ounces and completely conforms to the user’s feet. That’s about as close as you can get to running barefoot comfortably. They are scheduled to release sometime in July. Stay tuned for more info on this highly advanced sneaker.
