The Air Jordan Jumpman Pro Strong Returns!

Some of you newer sneakerheads may not remember these, but if you’ve been in the game since the late 90s, then you probably considered getting a pair back in the day. When Jordan Brand first decided to separate themselves from from Nike back in ’97, they created two pairs of sneakers for their top athletes. Eddie Jones wore Jumpman Pro Quick, and big man (and big drinker) Vin Baker wore the Jumpman Pro Strong, the shoes you see below.

Jordan Brand has finally decided to bring back the Pro Strongs, in not only their original White/black-green colorway, but also in black/black, black/varsity red-white, and white/varsity red-black, according to SoleRemption. They will retail for $120.

Nike Air Max A Lot: The Air Pippen Hybrid

Not really sure what to say about these, but I had to share. By combining two of Scottie Pippen’s hottest sneakers, the Air Much Uptempo and Air Pippen II, Nike has created the Air Max A Lot. It uses the “AIR” logo from the Much Uptempo, and the midsole from the Pippen IIs. Pretty cool idea, but I’m not sure what the Nike designers were smoking when they came up with the color scheme. There’s a skeleton hand holding a basketball on the tongue, which leads me to believe that these may be for Day of the Dead. Either way, I hope they come up with some nicer ones.

Nike Zoom Kobe V All-Star Game

Yesterday, I posted pics of Lebron’s All-Star game sneakers, so it should be no surprise to see that Kobe’s getting his own pair as well. Representing the West, Kobe will wear mostly red sneaker, with a similar wood-grain pattern as the one seen on the All-Star Lebron VIIs. This is all contrasted by blacking-out the  midsole, sockliner, laces, and graphics. The All-Star Kobe Vs will release on 2/12/2010.

Nike Air Force 1 All-Star Game 2010

Continuing the tradition from previous years, Nike has created a couple of Air Force One colorways to represent the this year’s NBA All Star game. This year two colorways have been produced, Red/White and White/Silver. The game will be hosted at the Dallas Cowboys New Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Texas state outline has been placed on the rear of each shoe. These aren’t as flashy as last year’s models, but they are quite nice, in my opinion.

Nike Air Max Lebron VII “All-Star”

This year, Nike has made a Lebron VII colorway for almost every even and occasion, so it’s no surprise to see a pair made exclusively for King James to wear during the 2010 NBA All-Star game. This pair has an aqua-blue and black colored upper, with a wavy pattern on the toebox which continues along the side of the shoe. This same pattern can also be seen on the tongue. I don’t have an official release date, but it’s same to assume these will receive a public release.

Today I’ve got some shots of Derek Jeter’s latest sneaker, the Jeter Prime. This first colorway, which matches the Yankees Uniform, has a black upper, complemented by  a white contrast stitching and a white midsole. As a nice touch, the sockliner displays Jeter’s numerous accomplishments over his career. No word on the official release date yet, but you can get these now at Marqueesole.

This pair will have all of the goodies seen on the previous version, including the Flywire, Dynamic Innersleave, and floating heel counter. Improvements will include a Phylon encasement for the Zoom-Air unit, and a midsole which serves as a semi-cupsole and provides cushioning. They will probably release sometime this spring or early summer. I’ll post more info as it gets released.
