Air Jordan IV White/Cement April Fools Joke (or Not)

A couple of days ago, I posted pics of a planned 2012 Air Jordan IV White/Cement release, originally reported by the site Tenusufki. As it turns out, this was only an April Fool’s joke, and these were just altered pictures of a pair of fakes. Given the date of the post (3/31), I had my suspicions, but tried to remain hopeful. I’m sure many of you are just as disappointed as I am, but all is not lost. The White/Cement Grey IVs are still rumored to release in either 2011 or 2012. Hopefull, Tenusufki’s joke will actually provoke Jordan Brand to go through with it. The way I see it, we haven’t seen these since 1999, and everyone wants them, so it’s just a matter of time. There’s no preventing the inevitable.

Jordan Jeter Cut Cleats

I haven’t posted a pair of cleats since MJ’s Air Jordan Xs, but these new Jeters were so hot, I just had to share. The Jordan Jeter cut uses a combination of nubuck suede and patent leather, and features a max air unit to provide extra cushioning when sprinting from base to base. Jeter’s number, “2” has been placed on the heel.

Air Jordan VI Retro “South Beach” Customs by El Cappy

Remember the South Beach-themed CMFT 11s I posted back in November? They were Ok, but custom maker El Cappy decided to apply the same theme to a much more serious sneaker: the Air Jordan VI. As you can see below, the idea worked out beautifully. Most of the upper was done in a brilliant shade of aqua blue, and portions of the midsole were painted pink to match the laces. Never have I wanted a pair of blue and pink shoes so badly. The box is pretty impressive, too.

Air Jordan 2011 Dwayne Wade “Away” Player Exclusives

As the premier athlete for Jordan Brand, it’s no surprise that Dwayne Wade gets to wear hot exclusive colorways. Check out this pair of Air Jordan 2011s made for DWade to wear in the Miami Heat’s away games. It has a black upper, beautifully contrasted with a red and golden yellow sole. A matching yellow finishes the color scheme. While it’s not likely, I sure hope these see a public release.

Rare Air: Nike Air Max 2010 Unreleased Sample

Take a look at what could have been the Air Max 2010. This pair is an early version of last year’s Air Model. You may notice that they are very similar to the released model in overall shape and even uses the same 360 Max-Air unit, however the upper is completely different. Personally, I’m glad they changed it. With those stripes, they look too much like an Adidas sneaker. If you like these, you can buy this pair now on ebay. Here’s a link to the auction.

The Black/Cement Air Jordan III is scheduled for release again in November. The picture below is from the 2008 Collezione pack, but if they are as nice as this year’s  White/Cement-Fire Red release, I’m sure they won’t disappoint. Stay tuned for more on these.
