Air Jordan III Retro “Denim” – Update

Here’s an update on the mysterious Denim Air Jordan III Retro, which recently popped up on a couple of forums. While it was believed that these could possibly be a planned release, it turns out that they were at one point. In 2009, Jordan Brand’s Footwear Business director, Astor Chambers created this pair in an attempt to add add some freshness to Jordan Brand’s lineup. Unfortunately, those plans were scrapped, but at least a few samples were made. Here’s a couple pics of Chambers wearing the Denim IIIs at the Quai 54. From SC.

Rare Air: Air Jordan XIII Retro Chris Paul PE

Ray Allen isn’t the only one with hot Air Jordan XIII player exclusives, now you can add Chris Paul to the list. Created to match the New Orleans Hornets’ home uniforms, this pair has received an upper made of white leather and cerulean suede, complemented with purple accents. Chris Paul’s “CP3” symbol has been embroidered on the tongue. It’s a shame that unlike the Ray Allen XIIIs, we probably won’t have a chance to purchase these. Pics from Air_Andy.

Air Jordan III Retro “Denim”

A couple of days ago we got a look at the “Khaki” Air Jordan IIIs, which were completely draped in khaki-colored nubuck suede. Today, we see yet another interesting fabric on the Air Jordan IIIs. This pair has received a denim upper, complete with the golden-brown stitching that we always see on jeans. As you can see, they’ve received the same elephant print as the Khaki IIIs. Perhaps these will be released as a Denim/Khaki pack, or maybe they were just one of Jordan Brand’s experiments? What do you think of these?

It’s amazing what you can do with some old clothes. Jwizvr6 created this beautiful pair of Dunk High customs by using a pair of pair of plaid shorts and applying the fabric to the inner panels. The rest of the sneaker has received navy blue nubuck suede, finished off with a white swoosh and matching white laces. Air Jordan III Retro Oregon Ducks “Home” Player Exclusives

A couple of weeks ago, we got a look at a pair of Oregon Ducks player exclusive Air Jordan IIIs, created by Jordan Brand to match the Ducks’ away uniforms. This time, we get a look at the home version, thanks to Oregon Duck-turned-Pittsburgh Steeler Dennis Dixon. This time, a white upper has been used, complemented with black accents and the traditional elephant print. Just like the away pair, this colorway features a large “O” on the tongue, used in place of the usual Jumpman. Unfortunately, this is the only angle, but it’s probably safe to say that the duck feet have been placed on the heel of this one as well.

Air Jordan III Retro “Khaki”

No, your eyes aren’t fooling you, the Air Jordan III has gone khaki with this new color scheme. The entire upper, has been covered in khaki suede, contrasted with khaki and black elephant print and white accents. Usually when Jordan brand tries wild color scheme like this on a classic, it causes a love/hate split between sneakerheads. With this one, however, I can really feel the hate brewing. Rare Air: Air Jordan 1 Retro “Future Sole” Sample

Remember the Future Sole Air Jordan 1 from 2009? It was a special collaboration between Future Sole and Jordan Brand, and was extremely difficult to obtain, as only 55 pairs were released, all given to the friends and family of Future Sole. If those weren’t rare enough for you, check out this unreleased alternate version. It has a very unique graphite-colored upper, complemented with a black patent leather swoosh, and the same red and white sole. The Future Sole logo remains near the heel.
