For this Christmas, the Nike LeBron IX has received a beautiful bright red upper, contrasted by a white swoosh, green laces and a matching green pull tab. An icy clear sole adds the finishing touches. It looks like they may be scheduled for an actual release on Christmas. If so, expect them to release as an online exclusive, as stores will be closed.

You may remember that back in 2002, Jordan Brand gave us a low top White/Pearl Blue-Carolina colorway. It looks like they may have also considered releasing these in high top form instead. This is a sample version of the high top IXs in their White/Pearl Blue. As you can tell, everything is identical to the low top version. Which release would you have preferred?

Nike Air Trainer Max 97 – Black/Anthracite-Wolf Grey- Dark Grey

It’s been fairly common for Nike to release its older trainers from the 80s and 90s, but one that we don’t see as often is the Nike Air Trainer Max 97. This fall, Nike is making up for lost time with some hot new colorways of this classic shoe. First on the list is this Black/Anthracite-Wolf Grey-Dark Grey release. The majority of the upper has been wrapped in black, while a combination of grey and anthracite has been used on the inner panels and midsole. Red stitching and graphics add a little more personality to this beautiful sneaker. You can expect to see these in stores shortly.

Jordan Prime 5 – Black/Infrared

Lately, Jordan Brand has been hit or miss with its hybrid combinations of past AJ models, but it seems they’ve hit a homerun with the Jordan Prime 5. This black/ infrared release does a great job of showcasing the sneaker’s “borrowed” design cues, and looks good at the same time. Its infrared laces, tongue and sock liner provide a nice contrast to the completely blacked-out upper. They are due out in stores on November 5, and will retail for $115.

Air Jordan III Retro Black/Cement Grey from Air-Randy and CDP Comparison

With the return of the Black/Cement Grey Air Jordan IIIs just a month away, many sites have already received shipments, making them incredibly easy to cop early. Unfortunately, there’s been a large number of rumors circulating about these “early release” sites, putting their quality and at times, even authenticity, into question. One of the more popular sites is Air Randy. Thanks to my buddy Marwan, I was able to get a first-hand look at Air Randy’s IIIs, as well conduct a brief comparison of the 2011 IIIs to the 2008 Collezione release.

Before we get to the comparison, let’s look at Air Randy’s product. As you can see, the sneaker looks virtually flawless. The stitching was good, there were no paint chips, and included in the box was the elephant print paper and foldout design sheet. Unfortunately, there was no Jordan hangtag. There is still some question as to whether every pair comes with it, as quite a few pairs have surfaced both with and without it. It’s possible that hangtags could be limited to select regions, but nevertheless, the pictures reveal a legit, quality product from Air Randy. It’s possible that you may get a defective pair, but the same can happen at your local store.

Flawless! But where’s the hangtag?

Nike Air Foamposite “What the Foam”

Can’t decide which Foamposite colorway to wear? How about all of them. Just recently, the pictures of very colorful Nike Air Foamposite surfaced on the net. Taking the idea from the What the Dunks, this pair has incorporated almost every color seen on the Foamposites, making for a very psychedelic sneaker. The question is, is it a Foamposite One or Pro? In the first pic, it appears to be a Foamposite One, but the second pic depicts the same design on the Foamposite Pro. Perhaps it’s just a bad photoshop. Time will tell. Stay tuned for more info on this interesting design. From NT.

Air Jordan 2012 – New Sample Pic

A couple of weeks ago, we got a look at an early prototype Air Jordan 2012 model. Now, it seems the sneaker is close to completion, and tonight we have a sample of what looks to be the finished product. As you can see, quite a bit has been changed. The Flywire has been partially covered, and beefier panels have been added. This colorway isn’t exactly Air Jordanish, but it’ll do for now. So now that we have a “completed” sample, what do you think, yay or nay?
