Summer is quickly approaching, and so it one of our brightest holidays in the U.S.: the fourth of July. The folks at Nike SB are getting in on the celebration with this Firecracker-themed Nike Dunk SB Low. Taking inspiration from the loud poppers that we all enjoy playing with, this pair has received a mostly black suede upper, matched with a red and white fire cracker print. White has been used on the leather swoosh and midsole, while a bright yellow tongue logo serves as the warning label for this hot design. Rare Air – Air Jordan X (10) Retro “28 Days of Flight”

Just yesterday we got an up close and personal look at the “28 Days of Flight” Air Jordan II Retro, and now it appears that the 10s have surfaced as well.  Just like the IIs, this pair has a full black leather upper with matching black laces. A green outsole provides cushioning and traction, matched only by sneaker’s equally green sock liner. As will all models from the series, this pair comes encased in a beautiful wooden Air Jordan XX8 “Houston” box. Interested in owning this supposedly one of a kind pair? Nike Zoom Kobe VIII (8) “Gradient Purple” New Pics and Release Info

Finally, we have some release info on the upcoming “Purple Gradient” Nike Kobe VIII. Created for Kobe to rock in the Playoffs, this pair features a muli-toned purple upper, complemented with black accents and purple speckles on the midsole. As you can see from the image below, all graphics have been overlaid with reflective 3M material, as seen on previous colorways. They are scheduled to release on May 11. Will you cop a pair?

Nike Zoom Kobe VIII (8) “Superhero” – Pics and Packaging

Kobe’s season might have ended a little early, but just like a superhero, he saved the Laker’s season by getting them into the playoffs. That makes this upcoming Nike Kobe 8 Elite “Superhero” Pack that much sweeter. Like the rest of the pairs in this series, the Superhero Kobe VIII takes inspiration from Kobe’s main talents. In this case, the sneaker focuses on speed and quickness, and uses a snake theme. the majority of the sneaker has been covered in a bright green with black on the swoosh. A speckled carbon fiber-like material has been used on the heel, while a translucent purple has been used to match the graphics. What really helps this colorway to stand above the rest, however, is the use of  a clear box, making the sneaker appear as if it were an action figure. Rare Air – Air Jordan II Retro “28 Days of Flight”

With the Air Jordan XX8 “28 Days of Flight” collection distributed to its respective winners, it was just a matter of time before a few pairs surfaced online. One such pair is this Air Jordan 2 from the collection. As with all other models from the series, this pair has a deep black upper, fully constructed of leather, and matched with a black midsole. Bright green has been used to accentuate the sneaker, and is used on the sock liner and midsole. It’s unknown as to how many pairs of these were actually produced, but more than likely the number is in the low single digits.

Air Jordan VI (6) Retro “Carnivore” Customs by Ramses

Custom kicks maker Rameses has revised the Air Jordan 6 with more of a predatory look with this latest creation. Taking inspiration from the classic Nike Air Carnivore, The leather and upper has been coated primarily in black, with turquoise used on the toe and at the rear. A white and black striped pattern has been used on the midsole, which also has a hint of purple. The Jordan logo on the tongue has been painted purple to match. Nike Air Max 97 SP “Italian Camouflage”

The Nike Air Max 97 get the camo treatment with one of its latest additions to the lineup. Nicknamed “Italian Camo”, this pair takes inspiration from the uniforms worn by the Italian Armed Forces. The majority of the upper has been wrapped in an olive-based camouflage, matched with brown camo on the inner panels. Olive has been used on the tongue logo, outsole, and laces. Nike Air Max Plus Tuned 1 – Orange /Black

Check out this hot new colorway of the Nike Air Max Plus Tuned 1, Nike’s latest reincarnation of the popular running sneaker. This pair features the usual gradient pattern, changing from light orange at the top to a warmer tone at the sides. The sneaker’s skeletal structure has been molded in black, contrasted with a red swoosh at the midfoot area. A white midsole houses an orange visible Max Air unit. Nike Dunk Free – First Look

The Nike Dunk joins the Nike Free lineup with its latest reincarnation, the Nike Dunk Free. As you can see, the usual Nike Dunk profile has been revamped into an exo-skeleton like shell which houses an inner bootie, and is partially see-thru, thanks to the use of mesh material. The end result is a sneaker with significant comfort improvements over the original, and most likely a weight reduction. The classic Dunk sole remains. Nike Barkley Posite Max – Energy/Fire – Release Info

The release of the Energy/fire, or “76ers” Nike Barkley Posite Max is quickly approaching, so here’s a little info on the release process to make life a little easier. They are scheduled to release on April 20, and will retail for $235. Some stores, mainly Footlocker and Footaction will implement the ticket procedure, similar that used for the more recent Air Jordan releases. Participating stores  will give tickets out on Wednesday April 17 and Thursday April 18. If you ticket is picked, you will receive a call on Friday April 19. In addition to an in-store release, these will also be available online at 8:00 AM EST. If you’d like to secure a pair now, they are currently available in most sizes on eBay.
